About Us

Meet Katie
Theater kid. Consignment queen. Professional declutterer. And now...shop owner! Katie has never met a space (or a storyline) she couldn't reinvent.
Katie grew up in San Antonio, a city that never met a color palette it didn't like (a giant "enchilada red" library downtown? You betcha!). Between the Fiesta parades, the Market Square murals, and multicultural vibes, she was raised surrounded by pattern, texture, and a whole lot of more is more.
That eye for color and story eventually found its way to the classroom, where she spent years teaching high school theater. But the stage was just the opening act.
After 12 years in the classroom, she pivoted into consignment and realized she'd found her people: folks who believe a great piece never goes out of style, it just needs the right moment to shine. Then came her home organizing business, where she helped clients turn chaos into calm, one junk drawer at a time.
Now, she's bringing it all together with Karma Kloset Consignment - A space where pre-loved fashion and furnishings get a second chance, clutter becomes cash, and good karma is basically the business model.
Think of it as recycling, but make it fabulous! With a side of Texas charm ;)

Meet Steve
Originally from Florida, Steve spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force before eventually trading military life and, later, the world of federal contracting for something completely different: entrepreneurship.
He met Katie while stationed in Texas in 2011, and even back then she was talking about her dream of someday opening a store called Karma Kloset. More than a decade later, it was time to stop talking about “someday” and help make it happen.
When he’s not at the shop, Steve is happiest sailing, walking in the forest, enjoying a beer by the pool, reading science fiction or history, or finding an excuse to play trivia. His role at Karma Kloset includes business operations, logistics, problem-solving, chatting up customers, and making all of the worst dad jokes you can imagine.
Warning: Fashion advice is not among his responsibilities.
Steve readily admits that he has absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever—which makes owning a consignment boutique with Katie either a terrible idea or a perfectly balanced partnership. Stay tuned to find out...
